Why choose Restore Rehab for Hand Therapy?
Karen has worked in multiple outpatient orthopedic settings working closely with Board Certified Hand Surgeons. While Hand Therapy is still one of her greatest passions, she recognizes that addressing other body parts is critical to excellent outcomes. For example, if you seek treatment for a painful thumb or wrist, she may also assess if you would benefit from neck and shoulder treatment to help balance any tension patterns contributing to the pain in your thumb or wrist. Karen designs a treatment program to help you return to the activities you love. Restore Rehab’s focus is on helping you to regain strength, range of motions, fine motor coordination, sensation, and overall upper extremity function.
What is a Certified Hand Therapist?
Karen became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2005. A Certified Hand Therapist has minimum 3 years of experience, 4000 hours of direct hand experience and has successfully passed a comprehensive exam of advanced knowledge and clinical skills in the upper extremity. There are also requirements for continuing education to maintain the certification. To know more about the CHT credential see https://www.htcc.org
